61-year-old Ruben Galindo plead guilty to four counts of intoxication manslaughter for the April 2013 accident where he drove an 18-wheeler the wrong way on Highway 90 head-on into an SUV with a family of five inside.
The victims were later identified as members of the Koontz family: Kenneth and Melissa Koontz, both 46 years of age, and their two daughters, Madison, age 18, and Marley, age 15.
